Calling all NYC hotels. Now it is your turn to join the carbon challenge.
Started in 2007, the NYC Carbon Challenge is a voluntary leadership program for 17 of New York City’s leading universities, the 11 largest hospital organizations, 11 global companies, and 18 residential management firms that have pledged to voluntarily reduce their building-based emissions by 30 – 50 percent in ten years. Run by the NYC Mayor’s Office of Sustainability, the program builds on a strong partnership between the City and the private and institutional sectors to pave a pathway towards New York City’s 80 x 50 goal.
Launching in 2016, the NYC Carbon Challenge for Hotels invites hotels in New York City to join these leaders in making a local commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
