Great Forest has recently built another custom metrics site for a hospitality client with multiple locations in the greater New York area. Our proprietary Utility Tracking System (UTS) tracks energy use and price in one convenient platform. With consumption and cost figures together, UTS enables you to budget future fiscal year energy costs with greater accuracy, taking into account price fluctuations, projected renovations, and occupancy projections.
It is especially useful for managing energy usage and costs across multiple properties. For example, the UTS system is currently being used by a major university to consolidate usage and price data for over 300 utility accounts that it manages. This means that facility managers at the institution will have easy access to historical rates and price variation by account type and across different utilities in order to make informed energy management decisions.
